The first Taheva area meeting of the project „Give the Reins to the Youth!“ took place on the 4th of May in the community centre, in Hargla. Many people came to meet with the youngsters: the head of the Taheva parish Monika Rogenbaum, the council members of the Taheva parish, local entrepreneurs Kalev Raudsepp and Andres Rõõmus, Taheva Youth Centre youth worker Angela Saar and the project „Give the Reins to the Youth!“ Taheva area leader Rasmus Onkel.
Subjects of the meeting were following:
During the presentations youngsters had a chance to ask specifying questions. After the official part a brainstorm took place, where the youngsters wrote down their wishes and problems considering the parish, after what they chose one and started to work out a solution for it. The same chosen problem was handed out to the local decision-makers, and they started to work out a solution for it, also. After the brainstorm, both sides presented their ideas and solutions to each other and a reasonable solution was found together. The problem, which was on agenda, was the lack of indoor sport facilities in winter.
