The second local meeting of the project took place at the local school where the head of parish Monika Rogenbaum, the head of council HilleTamman, council member Kalev Raudsepp and projects “Give the Reins to Youth!” Taheva area leader Rasmus Onkel came to meet with 20 local youngsters and brainstorm together. Subjects of the meeting were following:
The brainstorm took place in 4 youth groups and one decider group. After 15 minutes one member of the authority group joined each youth group and they continued to work on the ideas of the youth. The subject of the brainstorm was “The vision of youth, through which organisation/association (youth council, student council, youth association/organisation, youth centre etc.) should the youth in Taheva make them heard” and the participants had to find a solution for the following questions:
At the end of the brainstorm the youth thought that Taheva does not need another youth organisation – youth council, because the two working organisations – the youth centre in Taheva and the student council in the local school – are not efficient enough and the youth wants to concentrate on the improving of these two organisations. Secondly, the youth brought out that the number of youngsters in Hargla is so low that the members in the organisations would be exactly the same and the work and goals of different organisations would get mixed up and they would not differ at all.
At the end of the meeting, each group wrote down 14 activities that they would like to be engaged with in their free time.
As the result of the second local meeting the school council started their work and as the result of cooperating actively with the local youth centre the youth took part in a fashion show in Valga, celebrated father’s day with fishing catfish, had horror movie nights, test the writing of a youth exchange project and have found suitable times for two different activities which start in January 2015. The activities are ballgames and fishing.

- How should the organisation work?
- What would be the goals of the organisation – what do you want to achieve through it?
- Who should lead it?
- Who should support the youth with their ideas? (teachers form school, youth worker, mentor)
- How and who can join it?
- How and through who, should the youth turn to the school, youth centre, council, head of parish etc. with their wishes and suggestions?
- What do the youth miss the most in the parish? How can you solve the problem yourself? – Only youngsters replied.
