The first local meeting of Tõlliste parish took place in Tsirguliina community center. Many people came to meet with the youngsters: the head of the Tõlliste parish Madis Gross, chairman of the council Arne Nõmmik and members of the council Andres Illak and Katre Kikkas (who is the local manager of this project, too).
General problems of the parish were discussed. It was admitted that such a meeting should be held more frequently, even once in three months, just to acknowledge the problems to try to find a solutions for them together.
It was decided that there is no need for a Youth Council. Any young person come up to the head of the council or any member of it and freely talk about his or hers problem. Youth Council could just lead to unnecessary bureaucracy. The two big problems of the municipality are catering in school and garbage, which people carelessly throw off. First problem was promised to be handled by the council and the second - by the youth.
Local meeting of Tõlliste parish was very successful. Participants got better acquainted with each other and at the same time found solutions for a number of concerns that both parties have had already for a long time. It was nice, that the participants were of different age and, also, there were young participants, who do not permanently live in Tõlliste parish any more.
